Food Without Fear:
how to surprise and delight even yourself with food you can't wait to eat.
I realized that relaxing my shoulders and breathing rather than holding tension and anxiety while I cook made my food better and that people loved it all the more.

It is simply gorgeous and speaks to the heart. Congratulations on a warm and healing book.
This book is such a gift! Anyone who knows me knows that I wasn't a very promising cook. It was such a block for me, but after spending some time with Janelle in the kitchen, I have quickly become comfortable and confident in my cooking abilities and have much more ease around grocery shopping, food prep, cooking, and even entertaining. I'm so grateful to her for helping me with something that felt so heavy in my life. Here's her book filled with many recipes, how-to's, and lots of love.
Many small but powerful practices of being with food and people are gathered in this book which lays out my personal spiritual practice of being in the kitchen. At once contemplative and extremely practical, I share here my most common recipes, the ones I cook everyday.
May it nourish your soul,
In Print Soon...
I've poured my heart and soul into this e-book and 2017 is the year I'm planning to have it finally published in print.
For now you can access it via PDF format.
Your book reads to me like a beautiful love song. It is fluid, creative and touches my heart. I love the poetry, your photographs, and wonderful ideas. It's a perfect marriage from my perspective of good diet concepts and inner source wholeness.
I've learned so much already about cooking from the first few pages!
I finally printed out the cookbook. I wanted to wait so I could really read it and feel the words you had written. I am thoroughly enjoying it. It is a little gift to myself while enjoying new motherhood again. I can feel the love and intention you have placed in it.
Food Without Fear is an amazing gift. Janelle Lucido-Conate strikes a wonderful balance between the practical and the philosophical in this beautiful and useful e-book. Her sentiments are deeply-experienced, resonant, and affecting. Meanwhile her recipes made me want to head to the kitchen and try something new (Yassa fish on a communal plate) or something I haven't made in many moons (shortbread cookies). For the many of us who have struggled to find a joyful, balanced, and nurturing relationship to food, this book is both a welcome read and a truly helpful resource.
